• Patented precision:
• The BigStep offers unsurpassed fit thanks to its patented step with a diameter of 58.55 mm and minimal tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm.
• Precisely tailored to the Pullman precision sieves, the BigStep prevents any channeling from the start.

• Even puck:
• The patented step allows for maximum surface coverage, creating an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the screen.
• The result is a puck without vacuum formation when lifting after tamping.

• High-quality materials:
• Made from extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel, the BigStep ensures freedom from wear and the best material properties.

Danger:

Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inside diameters across many brands and weight ratings of precision screens. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with screens from third-party manufacturers. We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

• The lightweight:

• With the BigStep Lite, the weight has been reduced compared to the standard BigStep without sacrificing performance. At just 136.5 g, the Lite is only 10 grams heavier than the 'normal' Titanium, but is significantly more cost-effective.
• The height of the tamper has been reduced to an impressive 9 mm, which enables particularly comfortable tamping with higher dosages.

• Golden titanium nitride coating:
• Even harder, more resistant and more durable.

• Improved lifespan:
• The TINI coating increases the lifespan of the tamper material by 2-10 times compared to uncoated steel.

• Gold/silver version
• In this version, the TINI coating is only applied to the sidewall (the 'edge'), the tamping surface itself is uncoated. We developed this version for baristas who like to turn the tamper after tamping. The tamping surface made of stainless steel is more suitable for this, as the tamper slides better here. At the same time, the TINI surface on the sidewall offers perfect protection for the tamper and the high-quality golden look.

Titanium is a versatile metal, known for its use in high-tech areas such as space travel, aviation, medical technology and elite sports. Its special properties make it the very first choice for use as a top tamper:

Characteristics:

• Titanium retains the strength properties of tempered steels, even in a temperature range of approximately 200-635°C.
• With a specific gravity of 4.51 g/cm3, titanium is almost half lighter than steel.
• The melting temperature of titanium (1,660 °C) is higher than that of steel.
• Excellent corrosion resistance, especially to chloride solutions, seawater and organic acids.

• The Pullman Titan Tampers are made entirely of titanium, not just coated. This means they achieve an unprecedented ratio of weight and stability. The Pullman BigStep Titan Base with the higher sidewall is sensationally light at just under 130g; With the Titan LITE, Pullman has managed to reduce the weight to under 100g while maintaining maximum stability.
