Description

Pullman BigStep-PALM - palm tamper

Its appearance gave the palm tamper its name; palm is the English term for 'palm'. The Palm looks like a Chisel, but instead of the typical Chisel base it has a normal BigStep base on the bottom. The Palm Tamper is therefore suitable for anyone who likes the look and feel of the palm tamper. The special highlight, however, is that the Palm can be adjusted to different heights using the locking function of the top part, thus allowing you to always tamp at the same level without having to forego the functionality of the BigSteps. The edge of the upper part rests on the edge of the portafilter, the BigStep always tamps with the same indentation depth. This is particularly practical if you regularly use the same coffee with the same grammage. Once set correctly, the Palm-BigStep always tamps the same way because placing the top part on the edge of the portafilter prevents deeper indentations. And the patented step eliminates channeling at the edges.

BigStep: the high-end tamper base

Even more precisely manufactured than the other Pullman products, even better materials, even better performance:

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and it is not for nothing that it has won countless titles in barista and latte art championships. With a diameter of 58.55 mm and extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm, the Big-Step fits exactly into the precision sieves made specifically for the Pullman system and thus avoids any channeling from the outset.

The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the screen. Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel for freedom from wear and the best material properties.
Patented 'Step' ensures that despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the sieve, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

Joak

Stylish combination of Jarrah and Australian Oak elements.

Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) is a tree native to the west coast of Australia that can reach heights of up to 40 meters. It provides one of the most important Australian hardwoods, which is often used in furniture and shipbuilding due to its pest resistance. With its rich, dark reddish brown, Jarrah is a real eye-catcher.
Australian Oak (Grevillea robusta) is a deciduous tree up to 40m tall that is native to the eastern coast of Australia. The Australian (silver) oak is often used in furniture construction due to its resistance to wood rot. The pink-red hardwood with a medium-dense grain is striking. This leads to a natural staining pattern on the vertical surfaces of the handle. Australian oak has a beautiful, natural feel, is very warm and pleasant to the touch and ideal for a natural tamper grip.
